Dear Mr. George Laase,

Thanks for your great “unsolicited” introduction of me a couple of days ago in this newspaper. Welcome Aboard, Mr. Laase.

(See All Aboard for the Abrams/Zirgulis Campaign Train)

Longshot Candidates

It looks as if Gary Abrams may well be giving it a go once again as a long-shot candidate. He keeps calling for “Revolution” and sees political conspiracies against him almost everywhere he looks.

(See Cough, Cough. Evaluating, Ahem, the State of Newspapers in Culver City)

Ever wonder what motivates a person like George Laase to take on what the “MACHINE”** considers an extremely dangerous undertaking? Culver City politics’ most “FEARED TRUTHTELLERS.”

Can only speculate.

Maybe the “MACHINE” promised Mr. Laase 170 virgins or a share of the Culver City Redevelopment Agency $$$$ booty openly pilfered from lethargic, mostly uninformed citizens of Culver City.

(See Keeping an Eye on Our Dollars as They Are Wheeled Away)

The “Machine” was coined by Mr. Z, Robert Zirgulis, during the 2009 Board race.

Culver City politics are controlled by two families. Uninformed citizens play follow-the-leader, do-as-told politics.

(See What I Learned as a Candidate)

Mr. Laase says:

“Another seemingly perennial longshot, Robert Zirgulis, has already declared his intentions to run. He also portrays himself as being politically persecuted for his views…”

Please, Mr. Z. has his own Train.

Mr. Laase and I have a very short history. It appears that Mr. Laase also has a short memory.

Maybe you are confusing me with some other “Machine”-backed candidate. No, can’t be.

Must be getting DEMENTIA from all those knockout blows to your articles. Hey, those kinds of things accumulate.

Mr. Laase declares that:  (improvised)

Ain’t our democracy great, where well funded (“LIARS”) can get selected.
Here we are at the beginning of Culver City’s School Board election campaign, when anyone who goes through registration process, can become a full-fledged candidate for a (DYSFUNCTIONAL) local School Board.

According to Mr. Laase:

No Free. It’s a Fee.

Just registering with the L.A. County Clerk’s office gives (Culver City School Board) candidates media (for a fee) coverage in promoting (“Machine”-owned) views and agendas.

It also gives them equal time for self- (DECEPTION) during many (rigged) local candidate forums.

Get all of this attention just by registering. And it is all fees paid by the “Machine.” Boy, now that’s what I call a bargain! (Unless it is your own money). Ask Mr. Z.

On Monday, I will straighten out a few wrinkles in your story.
