Re “Abrams — Through a Skeptic’s Eye.

I will answer a 33-word letter about me from George Morton published last Thursday:

Aside to Gary Abrams: If Culver City really cared about anything you feel or say, you would have finished in the top three in last year’s School Board elections.

You didn’t. We don’t.

Response:

Dear Mr. George Morton:

For your record, I finished past dead last. Out of the six running candidates, I came in seventh. A fellow who withdrew his name even got more votes than I.

Goes to show you how much “The Machine” fears the truth. They like their Culver City voters dumb and cooperative (follow-the-leader style).

It is apparent you really do not know me, unless you read thefrontpageonline.com, because I do not exist in the other “machine,” the controlled news outlets. http://www.thefrontpageonline.com/new/articles1-6635/OneCandidateallsFighttoGetIntoPrintBeforeItIsTooLate

If you attended any of the School Board candidate forums, I admit that I do not do so well with 2- to 4- minute limits.

I must admit I am different from the normal Culver City resident. Do not ask me to explain it. I believe in “fairness.” http://www.thefrontpageonline.com/new/articles1-6415/ZirgulisCorlinAbramsMakeNewsonEveofDemClubCandidatesallForum

I noticed you stated “We don’t” — as in “machine?”

From your response I can only conclude that you are part of the “Machine,” the name that my fellow candidate, Mr. “Z,” Robert Zirgulis, cleverly coined. There is another fictitious person named Ms. “Idiot” (“Z” thinks that it is a guy) who used to write articles attacking Mr. “Z.” “Z” came in fifth in the School Board selection.

I exchanged one email with Ms. Idiot regarding the two families who control Culver City elections/selections. Ms. Idiot has never tried to attack me, though.

Just curious. Are you Ms. Idiot by any chance? Just thought I would ask.

Most seasoned readers of thefrontpageonline.com understand that I do not back down. As a matter of fact, I encourage dialogue.

Only one person questioned my integrity, and that was dispelled quicker that you can soft boil an egg.

Other than Mr. Ari Noonan, who attacked my IQ once, that was it. He didn’t say that directly. He is too much of a gentleman. I believe it was stated as “not as sophisticated.”

You see I only speak of the “truth.” A lot of people like you (are you real?) can not handle the “truth.”

If you haven’t noticed, not one elected/selected official, either School Board or City Council, has responded to any of my many articles published in the frontpageonline.com. I hope you do not think they may not have seen any of them.

The “truth” is hard to fight; it stands alone, unlike “lies,” which need a constant supply of support.

Do not worry. You never will see a response from the elected officials. What are they to say? I’m “lying”? Silence is “golden.” $$$$$$$$$$$$.

One recent example was a letter I sent to the School Board that questioned the handpicked selection of the Measure EE parcel tax ($1.2 million) oversight (rubber stamp) committee. Still waiting President Zeidman. Your turn. http://www.thefrontpageonline.com/new/articles1-8319/IAmWaitingtoHearBackfromtheSchoolDistrict

Before I ran for the School Board, I knew little about the operation of the School District. I really wasn’t interested. My focus was in the classrooms as a volunteer aide. http://www.thefrontpageonline.com/new/articles1-6363/GettingAcquaintedWithaNewContenderfortheSchoolBoard

The problem with the Board is that the majority members (usually dentists, lawyers) never have been involved in the trenches of the classrooms. So they have no clue what our teachers and students are dealing with. http://www.thefrontpageonline.com/new/articles1-6576/TheRealTrenchesAreintheClassroomWhereCutsAffectStudentsandLearning

They do not even know what the District is faced with, except that there appears to be no money for anything but “fees,” as in attorney.

That is another story that I will deal with later.

Since the election almost 14 months ago, I have been on a hiatus — intentionally giving the new Board a chance to get familiar with each other. I have attended the last two Board meetings. The one where the torch had been passed to Attorney Zeidman and the one before that. I saw Mr. Alan Elmont at that one. I ran into Mr. Elmont at a supermarket later, and I asked him about the new Board. He stated that they had not any major mistakes.

Mr. Elmont came in fourth in the Board race.

I have varied interests, but my main focus is on the kids who are affected by the quality of the schools. Right now those qualities are damaged and sinking fast, while the City Council and School Board rivalry continues.

What has the School Board done in the Attorney Gourley Year of 2009-2010 when he was President ? Waiting to hear from you, too. Shall I hold my breath?

What will the Attorney Zeidman Year accomplish other than more cuts and “fees”?

I rest my case.
