How the Times Smothers Muslims with Love by Playing Kissy-Face with Them

Over the weekend, the journalistic eunuchs on the left surrendered en masse to their Muslim intimidators. Now they insist that in all written and spoken references, the dreaded Ground Zero mosque be described only as an “Islamic center in Manhattan.”

It staggers me how these liberal doughnut dudes — all jelly in the center — swallow their principles and swiftly sacrifice their dignity when a few Muslims shake their fists at them. The eunuchs on the left collapsed like a suitcase from the 99-Cent store.

The left-wing Associated Press was the first to murder its own principles, to abjectly hand over its integrity and glance at the nearest imam for a wink of approval. Like sheep with freshly sharpened swords dangling above their woolly heads, The New York Times and the rest of the major media meekly fell into line. That was on Friday.

Please Don’t Hurt Me

Comes Saturday morning: On Page 1, cowardly Mitchie Landsberg of the Los Angeles Times writes a sob sister type of story that I thought had slid out of fashion in the 1940s — the unrepentant monster aggressor who shrewdly wants to be viewed now, nine years later, as the toothless victim.

Muslims fear backlash as festival falls near Sept. 11,” read the headline above an obsequious story about Fresno Muslims (is that a typo or an oxymoron?). They fear that some “uneducated” Republican right-wing extremists will fly hijacked planes into their annual end-of-Ramadan carnival on Sept. 9, and so they cancelled the darned thing.

Allotted only 26 lengthy paragraphs to weep for Muslim peace-shleppers, Mr. Landsberg, sadly, ran out of space before he could explain why they believe Republicans will set upon them. Has it happened before? No. Has anyone hinted or threatened an assault? No.

But, my golly Murgatroyd, have you heard what Newt and Sarah Palin have been saying? They know how to unhinge those uneducated right wingers who lack the class of us shiny-shoed elitists.

Back to our pal Mitchie:

Under orders from the top of the Times not to use the suddenly toxic phrase “Ground Zero mosque,” cowardly Mitchie strays into Lawdy, Lawdy, How I Love Them There Muscular Muslim Boys territory in his fourth delicately constructed sentence.

This politically correct line should win the Architect of the Year award for sheer journalistic weaselhood and pretzelhood.

Try to digest what Mitchie wrote as he twisted himself into I Really Do Surrender posture:

This week, after listening to escalating rhetoric over plans for an Islamic community center within blocks of the destroyed World Trade Center, the Fresno center canceled the carnival.

Are you worried yet about the fate of American manhood? You should be if this sissified chap is a sample.

I guess that nearly 3,000 Americans were massacred nine years ago on Sept. 11 by schizophrenic aborigine midgets, as a few of us long have suspected.

You may be delusional, dear reader, if you believe that refusing to identify the perpetrators of Sept. 11 as Muslim terrorists in the main story on Page 1 was a flukish oversight.

Muslim terrorists” vanished years ago from the lexicon of American leftist eunuchs who want to see one more sunrise.

An “Islamic community center”?

Isn’t that a perfumey, child-like characterization of the Ground Zero mosque.

The mysterious mosque dangles limply before the eyes of leftish journalists entirely incurious about the mosque and its imam who blamed America for Sept. 11? How nice that terrorists will have someplace new to pray. Let us all go to Disneyland this afternoon, friends, and then fall by the community center to commune with our fellow funloving humans. Will we roll a ball or a severed head across the floor?

We will make one more stop in Saturday’s edition, on Page A-12:

Final Pentagon report released on Ft. Hood.

You will recall that last Nov. 5, a Muslim terrorist named Nidal Malik Hasan slaughtered 13 people at Ft. Hood and faces 32 counts of premeditated murder. He was a uniformed Army psychiatrist who had been giving off crazy signals for years. But, hey, baby, we don’t want to offend terrorists.

Amazingly, shamefully, the story was scrubbed clean of any trace that this Muslim terrorist is a Muslim or a terrorist. Out jogging, I guess 13 people randomly happened to stroll I front of the Muslim lunatic’s gun barrel.

And Finally…

Exactly on cue yesterday, just like dummies for a Muslim ventriloquist, three of the four squishy liberal Sunday essayists for The New York Times read from the same darned hymnal n the Ground Zero mosque:

Nicky Kristof, who never met a Republican he didn’t hate more than cancer, said Republican opposition to the mosque is bolstering Al Qaeda — the same phony reasoning he used on Guantanamo, Iraq and Afghanistan. How does he know that? Don’t embarrass him by asking for proof.

Maureen Dowd said it is Rush Limbaugh’s fault 70 to 80 percent of Americans are against the Ground Zero mosque. And you thought Swish the Messiah had influence?

Frank Rich, who hunkers down on the handle of a frying pan every Sunday, place “Ground Zero mosque” in quotation marks to underscore his disdain, the same way the Los Angeles Times does for the Tea Party. Since every leftist needs a villain, poor Mr. Rich’s is Rupert Murdoch. If his newspapers, the Wall Street Journal and the New York Post, hadn’t brought up this nasty subject in May, peace-chasing Muslims could have built their lovely mosque without anyone noticing. What a concept, Murgatroyd. Close down America’s No. 1 newspaper in quality and circulation, and we will have world peace.

What is Swish’s cell number?

Penultimately, for the second time in three days, the Los Angeles Times made Muslims-as-Victims the theme of their main Page 1 story. Interviewing funloving Muslims from tolerant countries all over the world who say “Jews are our friends as long as they are dead,” reporter Borzou Daragahi proved again he is a crack investigative journalist. Intrepidly, while simultaneously apologizing for unenlightened Americans and touting the exemplary tolerance of Muslims, ol’ Borzou managed to dig up Muslims who blasted those darned right wingers for their unfathomable bigotry against what he called “a Muslim YMCA.”

On the op-ed page, where Monday essayist Greg Rodriguez has become increasingly shrill this spring and summer, the left pof leftist U.C. Irvine faculty member made a stunning unearthing himself:

After interviewing three funloving Muslim students, he became convinced that opposition to the Ground Zero mosque is un-American, just another ragged sampling of nativism by those darned slender-minded right wingers.
