“We need a mayor who will get Los Angeles back on its feet,” said Ms. Butler. “No candidate is better positioned than Wendy Greuel to bring transparency and accountability to Los Angeles city government.

“Whether it's creating jobs, ending runaway production, or providing more afterschool programs for our kids, Wendy Greuel has the experience to get things done. That is why I am proud to endorse her.”

“I've known Wendy for years,” Ms. Lowenthal says. “We have worked together on a number of critical issues, including economic development, transit expansion, and the modernization of the Port of Los Angeles.

“From my firsthand experience, I know she is tenacious and tough. I am confident she will be an outstanding mayor.”

Ms. Skinner said the City Controller is “the real deal.

“She will bring common sense and a hands-on approach to the mayor's office. Just like she has done as controller, she will roll up her sleeves and get to the root of the problems. Once she identifies the problems, she won't kick the can down the road. She will be the straight shooting, truth-teller to residents, just as she's done every day as L.A.'s taxpayer watchdog. Wendy is more than a talker. She puts words into action.”

In recent weeks, the Greuel campaign announced the support of state Sen. Fran Pavley and a group of conservation leaders, including Mary Nichols, Jonathan Parfrey, Ms. Pavley and others.

Recently Ms. Greuel's campaign announced the support of a powerful trio who will play a policy and leadership role in her campaign the next six months, including former Assembly Speaker Bob Hertzberg, civil rights and labor icon Dolores Huerta, and ci John Mack, former president of the Urban League.

In addition, recently the Greuel for Mayor campaign announced a Valley Leaders with Wendy Committee, including small business leaders, neighborhood council members, students, grassroots activists, community organizers, as well as a wide-ranging list of professionals.

The Greuel for Mayor campaign has launched of the Women with Wendy Committee, which is comprised of community leaders, grassroots activists, professionals, students, and small business owners. The full list of the committee is available here: http://www.wendygreuel.org/women-with-wendy/supporters/
