Getting Rid of Pain? Take a Walk

I have begun to experience a continuous pain in my right foot. A foot doctor told me I had planter fasciitis, a tightening of the tendons in the foot.

Walking hurts a lot. After awhile the tendon loosens and becomes less painful.

Unfortunately, after you have rested for a few minutes, the tendon tightens. But the pain dissipates after a short walk.

The foot doctor took an X-ray but could not see anything wrong. He prescribed ibuprofen  for the pain. He said I could have an MRI to determine the exact cause and location of the continuing pain. I declined.

As a hypnotist I have tools that most people do not. I used them to ease the ongoing pain. To a large degree, I have been successful.

Here are ways to eliminate pain. Remember, for the techniques to work, you should consult a hypnotherapist who can teach you how to self-hypnotize and pain-reducing techniques.

Hypnosis can have a greater effect than you may realize.

A client once asked me to help her eliminate pain after a knee surgery. Her pain was eliminated, her knee flexibility improved and there were two bonus side effects:

  •  She used to go to the bathroom once or twice a week. After hypnosis, her schedule is twice a day.
  • Her insomnia stopped.

The first technique is glove anesthesia. Imagine either one of your hands becoming intensely cold. Once you have achieved the sensation of cold, touch your pain area. Transfer the cold from your hand to your area of pain. This numbs the pain.

Putting Pain in a Box

Secondly, imagine pain as intense flame. Place a box around the pain and put a lid on the box. All flames require oxygen to burn. When the lid is put on, the fire goes out. So does your pain.

A third technique is to imagine your pain as a small black ball. Visualize moving the ball of pain to your right hand. Crush the ball and blow it away, and the pain eases. As you blow it away the pain eases.

Remember, pain is the body’s way of letting you know something is wrong. It  is advisable to see your doctor to determine the exact cause of the pain. Then apply hypnosis pain reduction techniques.

It has been proven repeatedly that a person experiencing chronic pain will continue to take increasing amounts of painkillers. The negative is that the dosage increases, you become comfortable with the dosage, and so does the body.

The more you take, the less the relief. Those who quit the pain medication and turn to self-hypnosis find that within a short period they were off all pain medication and their pain had been reduced up to 95 percent.

The mind is more powerful than you know.

Remember the woman whose  daughter was being crushed beneath the wheel of a three-ton truck? She lifted it enough to pull her child out. She was not   a muscle-bound hulk. She was a normal person. Her adrenaline helped her do what everyone thought was impossible.

Hypnosis and you can be a team for the pain-free life you want. See a hypnotist.
