Isn’t that a fine kettle of fish, the broadminded O(Go Sarah)prah, a favorite of all ladies, from age 5 to 95, saying no way will Sarah appear on her program.
This was another nifty scoop for the drudgereport.com which, you should know, has a record for accuracy that is superior to The New York Times.
Sarah, the hottest personality on earth today, and ratings-obsessed O(Go Sarah)prah turns her down because she belongs to the wrong political party.
By golly, my fawning admiration for the broadmindedness of intolerant liberals expands by the day.
The headline on abcnews.com this afternoon reads, “Is Oprah Biased? Host Won’t Interview Palin.”
The answer to that question is easier than the one about the City Manager of Culver City.
And so the strange saga of the inordinately strange O(Go Sarah)prah breathes funny stuff again.
Not an Eyewitness
Being a non-woman, I never have seen her television show. I am not even sure whether non-women are allowed to watch.
She is one of those quite unorthodox show business oddities. Sometimes she’s fat, sometimes she is darned near svelte, but mostly she is not quite here, not quite there. While insisting vehemently that she is not gay, she is thoroughly dedicated to the single life.
Like everyone else I can think of in the media — except for the Washington Times, the Wall Street Journal and the most popular network of all, Fox News — O(Go Sarah)prah is in the tank for Messiah Sr. and Messiah Jr.
She can’t quite admit it, because such a confession would spoil her scam role as an impartial, impeccably fair, utterly detached observer of life. O(Go Sarah)prah is as non-partisan, and now seemingly dishonest, as Michael Moore.
Obviously the little lady is pulling for Messiah Sr., which is plenty fair as long as she practices discretion.
Little Lady, Little Honesty
But you see the stance she was forced to reveal this morning is exactly the opposite of the way O(Go Sarah)prah presents herself to adoring fans.
Once cornered, she issued a written statement to abcnews.com that said, in part, while dancing around the truth:
“I agree that Sarah Palin would be a fantastic interview, and I would love to have her on after the campaign is over.”
This cunning, grudging admission was coaxed out of What, Me Honest? O(Go Sarah)prah after twisting herself into curley-cues this morning, heatedly denying that Sarah ever had been discussed as a potential guest.
I daresay the little lady is correct, that it never was discussed. Instead, O(Go Sarah)prah, speaking as The Boss, ruled sometime this week that the planet’s most radioactive celebrity would never plump down on a couch on her program.
Truth May Defeat Her
When you play games with the truth, frequently it catches and overtakes you.
I mean, Murgatroyd, why should she give a darn about ratings on her classy show because she only caters to cool guests, like drugged out actors?
How does O(Go Sarah)prah square her now exposed-as-phony support of women with her shabby snub of the first woman Vice Presidential candidate on the Republican ticket?
Being a liberal, with the media shielding her, she may not feel accountable.
