As an intensely sensitive person, I habitually defer to my betters.
This morning, I bow to my teachers in the Democrat Party who encouraged me to confront endemic racism and to confront endemic sexism, no matter the cost to me.
Out, darned racism. Out, darned sexism.
And so it is that we study yesterday’s primary results from Texas and Ohio:
Latest data shows :
• 102 percent of blacks in both states voted for Mr. Obama.
• 104 percent of feminists in the two states supported the cheated-upon Mrs. Clinton.
Gee, whillickers, Murgatroyd. Does that mean that racism is a good thing? That sexism is a good thing?
I see.
As long as racist and sexist voting get liberals elected, situational ethics should be tolerated. Left-wingers taught us, after all, that tolerance is a desirable trait.
An Opposing View
In our sun-splashed suite at the breakfast hour, my wife, the Independent, was standing over my shoulder as I recorded my thoughts.
“I don’t agree with you,” she said, a development that did not warrant a bulletin.
“Depends on your operational definition of racism. It is such a touchy issue. So many people are racists.
“Isn’t it natural for people to vote for someone they identify with?
“It would be natural for blacks to support Obama and natural for women to vote for Hillary because they both have serious Presidential candidates for the first time.
“You don’t know what people are thinking when they vote.
“I think it is impossible to ask voters not to identify with candidates they would naturally identify with.
“Of course, it’s not right just to vote for a candidate for that reason. You can’t suspend your thinking. You have to believe the candidate is qualified.”
Smart woman, my wife.
But I only said I defer. I did not say I agree.
I do not.
Heaven forbid that I ever would vote for a Democrat. This would be tantamount to riding a mouse in the Kentucky Derby.
Ah, the Times in Which We Live
Step back with me to Sunday morning for a shaky moment with one of the bleeding-heart reporters at the Los Angeles Times, Robin (I Love Being Light in the Loafers Because It Makes Me Feel So Feminine) Abcarian.
The aging Ms. Abcarian approvingly wrote a piece about toothless, aging hard-left feminists tearfully backing the aforementioned Ms. Clinton and scolding all sensible gals who don’t.
Gender loyalty, you know.
We Ain’t Always Feminists
You will recall that the same radical man-haters raising their stentorian voices for Hillary today actually have a proud history of selectively whorish behavior.
These bluehaired old girls imitated the retired Police Chief Ted Cooke and dived under an undusted couch throughout the 1990s when a parade of women whom Bill Clinton had cheated with came forward.
Feminists choked on their courage and crouched under the undusted furniture, cavorting with the insects.
A Little Nostalgia
Speaking of racial loyalty and other dishonest brokers, has anyone in the last six months seen two of the most recognizable habitués of our darkest social alleys, the Rev. J. Jackson and the Rev. A. Sharpton?
This is no accidental absence.
Mr. Obama wants them as far from his camp as it is possible for them to run.
