Wouldn’t you know that the disgraced Long Beach Congresswoman Laura Richardson would be holding in her sweaty, dirty little hands this afternoon the most expensive car lease among any of the 435 Members of Congress?

Surely there are children more prudent with money than this wild woman.

As closely as I can count, she has blown off 3 houses, gone into default on 3 homes in 3 communities, which means you have to have spend inordinate amounts of time in front of a mirror practicing a face that won’t give you away to unsuspecting bankers, although an honest man could say that Ms. Richardson could give away her face and not be worse off.

This dreary woman should be driven to the city limits, handed a dime, and dumped. If she is not a liar, she has delivered a magnificent imitation.

Suburban Journalists Come Through

Ardent investigating reporting the last two months by the Long Beach Press-Telegram and the South Bay Daily Breeze has revealed Slippery Sal to be a serious candidate for the Biggest Fraud in Congress. However, with Ms. Richardson and her fellow Democrats holding an edge in both houses, this means she has inordinately stiff competition, but she clearly has the will to be rated the worst. She makes Bill Clinton look like the star of the choir among those who regularly clip the public.

Both newspapers reported yesterday that Ms. Richardson leases an ’07 Lincoln Town Car that taxpayers are paying for at the rate of $1300, which is $500 to $900 higher than the average for the 25 percent of congressmen who lease cars. You see the pattern —consistently over-reaching, not just slipping, because, like many bad people, she is confident she never will be caught.

Don’t voters care?

The strut-prone Ms. Richardson is described as a protege of one of the most grating empty mouths in Southern California, U.S. Rep. Maxine Waters. Ms. Richardson calls herself “Little Mama,” and Ms. Waters as “Big Mama.” Speaking of loud old ladies with little to offer, U.S. Rep. Diane Watson also has leased an ’07 Lincoln Town Car. But hers cost merely half of Ms. Richardson’s price, $686 per month. Why? Ms. Richardson — who probably is trying to squeeze in all the perks she can lay her grubby hands on before somebody surely nails her — demanded that her car be customized.

A Sloppy History with Cars, Too

When the was a City Councilwoman in Long Beach, the story says, “she crashed her BMW, abandoned it at a body shop, failed to pay a prior repair bill, and then racked up 30,000 miles on a city-owned hybrid in one year — apparently violating a policy against personal use of city cars.”

Pal, unless you don’t mind being fleeced by a desperate woman, Ms. Richardson and your wallet never should sit down together in the same room — the same building, the same city.

Having behaved scandalously, irresponsibly, for years in her private life, Ms. Richardson seems to be beyond shame. Holding three separate elective offices in the space of a few months, she seems to have stiffed bank(s) for monthly payments while she was getting herself elected to more and more offices, thanks to inattentive voters.

Her behavior in her personal life would embarrass convicted felons.

Maybe Ignorance Is a Valid Plea

The other night, the little lady hosted a fundraiser in an attempt to shave same of the campaign debt. But when she was asked days later how much she had raised, the little lady gave a shrug. Said she didn’t know, didn’t have any idea.

The Los Angeles Times pointedly has ignored the spectacular pratfall and compounded scams by the greedy little Ms. Richardson because she is a member of the wrong political party. The ideologues at 2nd and Spring cannot bring themselves to criticize Democrats, even one who insists on making a daily fool of herself.
