Certain People Know How to Get Away With Lies

It is an immutable fact of modernity that conservatives lead more complicated political lives than liberals. Their sins invariably transcend human comprehension. Therefore, after commission of foul deeds by conservatives, they and their tattered-forever reputations become playtoys of the liberal-controlled media.

Ergo: When a politician from the right commits a deed ranging from mild to heinous, the trumpets blare, the drums bang, the cymbals go clang, and the story is guaranteed three or four days of life in America’s leading newspapers and on television. When someone from the left careens into a moral ditch, nothing happens except that an aging, blind cat with terminal rabies goes “meow.”

As a growing number of Americans gradually have come to realize in the 10 days since Swish’s Folly (healthcare reform) passed, Congressman John Lewis (D-Ga) lied when he said he was called a nigger by Tea Party protestors and Congressman Barney Frank (D-Ma) equally lied when he said he was called a faggot.

No, I Am Not Curious at All

Like children or stenographers, the boys in the media have played along with them as if their careers depended on perpetuating these scurrilous fairy tales, for which both Barney and Johnnie are notorious. This is a game that is played with monotonous regularity in Washington. Only the thermostat on the furnace is turned up to Roar when a Democrat is in the White House, and ‘way up to You’ll Never Believe This when a race-shlepping black man is the President.

Reading directly from the small, explosive Saul Alinsky guide to socialist governance, “Rules for Radicals,” Swish regularly plays the race card as if he were Horowitz at the piano. Dems and the media slavishly follow his lead as if he signed their paychecks, which he may as he continues to massively redistribute American wealth to his kind of people.

You would think that in the days since Barney and Johnnie served their heaping plates of fried fibs, a hard-nosed journalist somewhere in the ethical desert would have demanded an accounting from them. Instead, there has been an orgy of stentorian accusations leveled daily by the loudest media in America. The claim: Non-Democrats are a threat to the safety of our country. Opposition to the President almost exclusively is race-traced. That really is the way Democrats think — divide by class, race, gender. But how do you prove a charge is scurrilous? I have no idea, except to keep reporting some of the left’s worst excesses.

We will close with two extraordinary incidents from hours ago.

Both, I say confidently, will be more widely ignored than when a chubby man, standing alone in the middle of Death Valley on a 110-degree day, burps.

Two Sides of a Horrible Coin

As a veteran newspaper reader, you know that hate in America extends from a single direction, the right. Karl Rove, the second most hated man by liberals in the Bush White House, was featured in a booksigning Monday night at the Saban Theatre, Beverly Hills. A hundred people came. But their evening was ruined when one Jodie Evans, the co-founder of Code Pink, a girls-only group of anti-war extremists, took a classless stab at stealing the spotlight. With an air of audacity unknown to normal people, Jodie, handcuffs in hand, calling out as if she were high on booze or drugs, approached Mr. Rove, called him a war criminal, and said she was there to haul him away. Channel 9 reported no security was in sight. Mr. Rove fled before signing any books.

My candidate for the smoothest con man still operating this side of jail bars is the Rev. Al Sharpton. He should stand beneath a falling car and see if he can make a one-handed catch. We can only estimate, not reliably know, the number of lives this miserable man has damaged or ruined.

The Rev. Liar was invited onto Bill O’Reilly’s No. 1-ranked cable show Monday night to do what (especially but not only) black commentators have been doing daily since Swish’s Folly — stretching out the lies by Barney and Johnnie for still one more day.

The Rev. Liar could talk you out of your sox, but he should have known not to try such a cheap stunt with the wily Mr. O’Reilly. (Here is the link to the most spellbinding 49 seconds you will watch today: powerlineblog.com). The Rev. Liar said he knew Johnnie was called a nigger and Barney a faggot by Tea Party protestors because he saw the video.

“No, you didn’t,” said Mr. O’Reilly. “There is no video.”

Ignoring his host, the Rev. Al just kept making unpleasant sounds that used to be attributed to unhinged men known as jive turkeys. He was not fazed that he had been caught in a lie. He is a veteran of this kind of gutter war. “There were all kinds of reporters there,” was the next line the Rev. Liar tried. Nobody heard anything, Mr. O’Reilly countered.

A flat lie. The liar was cornered like the rat he is — and he never conceded.

Good thing the Rev. Liar is a left-winger. Otherwise, liberals would be calling him a nigger and burning down his church.
