Don’t get me wrong.
I think our teachers work very hard during the school year in educating our children.
They do put up with a lot of crap from both the students and their parents during the 9 ½-month school year.
But when almost 75 percent of the teachers in our District are now making over $60,000 in salary, it makes me wonder if I made the right decision when I chose to go into the family business and not into teaching music.
I know no Culver City Federation of Teachers union member will ever agree with this statement.
But I think the time has come to announce the end of an era:
The time of the underpaid CCUSD teacher is a thing of the past.
