Crucial Oil Field Meeting Tomorrow Evening

With apologies for the late notice, we wanted to let you know that (at long last) the Citizens’ Advisory Panel for the Baldwin Hills oil field (“CAP”) will include at their 7 o’clock meeting on Thursday evening at Kenneth Hahn State Park a presentation on fracking (the process that was studied in the film the Culver Crest Neighborhood Assn. showed a few months ago).

The presentation will focus on the process that is actually being used today at the oil field.

(We believe oil experts do not technically consider it to be “fracking” — instead calling it “high pressure gravel packing.”)

The presentation will also discuss the the differences between this process and the fracking that was shown in the movie.

It is anticipated that the presentation will last for 15 to 20 minutes, after which there will be a question and answer session.
