A liberal gentleman at a news stand I frequent, said this morning with a straight face:

“The idea of giving driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants sounds bad, but it really does have a good outcome.”

As you may know, lightweights in law enforcement, like LAPD Chief Jolly Cholly Beck, foolishly have contended for several years that when illegal aliens are handed licenses for breaking the law, instantly they will get religion.

No longer will they flee fatal accidents.

Now when they kill someone, almost immediately they will put down their bottles, straighten their neckties, comb their locks, spray breath freshener, turn off their engines, step outside, lean against the door and whistle the second chorus of  “Dixie” until a smiling cop bops in to arrest them for their latest heinous crime.

You can be elected governor in a Democratic state by tracking such sophisticated reasoning.

Ineffable logic.

I feel less worried about the safety of my young nephew’s duties with the Border Patrol. At least for a few more days.

Those nifty guys and girls stealthily crawling through leaky fences and slithering across muddy grounds are profoundly misunderstood Mexicans and Middle Easterners who are eager to re-establish their ethical behavior on this side of the border.

In his latest farcical flirtation with the law, Gov. Brown slimily refers to his yesterday’s despicable act as an expansion of immigrant rights.

You see, words are fungible. They can mean you want.

Last month, he signed into law the notion that you don’t have to hold citizenship to serve on a jury.

Next month’s crackerjack box surprise, I presume, will outlaw Border Patrol agents for causing undue stress to willful criminals.
