Owners Form a Lengthy Queue

On the other hand, Brotman has had more owners in recent years than the fingers on one hand, and CEOs predictably change each time. Stability, obviously, has been Brotman’s most elusive commodity. This human revolution has cost the hospital a precious chunk of its communal image and reputation. The ownership roll call ranges from General Hospital Corp. of America (which amounted to the hospital’s namesake, Dr. David Brotman), Hospital Corp. of America, ESOP (Employees’ Stock Option Plan), Orinda, Tenet, and now Prospect. The current doctor owners have made no known attempt to improve Brotman’s standing or perception in Culver City. All that residents know is what they see in physical upgrades. Otherwise, the doctors have scorned overt marketing while scrupulously positioning themselves well out of communal view
