Thinking out of the box is an unsafe place to be, especially in a government organization. She embraced that philosophy and encouraged her staff, old and new, to think out of the box. It is my hope that whoever follows Ms. Evans will continue the culture of thinking and leading rather than following like blind mice.
Not everything that was accomplished will succeed. But she and her staff did it instead of talking about something or just doing that safe thing. Let us hope that the Evans Way will go forward in Culver Citys Community Development Dept. for years ahead.
