Hollywoodhighlands.org won’t be appearing during the public comment portion of today’s Los Angeles City Council meeting regarding Mayor Villariagosa’s reported drunken binge in Cabo San Lucas last weekend.

We will not be there to ask for support for a Police Commission inspector general investigation of the mayor’s long and wild fling as a guest at a hotel controlled by the Zetas drug cartel.

We will not be there to ask for support of a federal DEA investigation into Mr. Villaraigosa’s hotel party interactions with reputed Mexican drug cartel leaders.

Why will we not be present?

Because today’s City Council meeting abruptly has been cancelled – with no legitimate explanation.

The actual reason is to allow Council members to recuperate from New Year’s Eve party hangovers.

Further explanations:

• Alarcon is too busy defending his unfit-as-parent daughter Andrea.

• Garcetti is too busy running for mayor.

• Perry is too busy running for mayor.

• Zine is too busy running to replace mayoralty candidate Wendy Greuel as City Controller.

• Cardenas is too busy packing for Washington.

• Tom LaBonge and a bunch of other serious drinking Council members need today off to recover from those big New Year’s Eve parties

See most of you on Friday.
