One of the least important elections in Culver City’s nearly century-old history will be staged – the verb carefully has been chosen – to elect Ms. Me, Too, Ms. Carbon Copy, Ms. Xerox, state Assemblyperson Holly J. Mitchell, to the state Senate previously held by Los Angeles City Councilman Curren Price Jr.

Cynics rejoice. Skeptics, sleep on.

The Old Boys have risen to once again defeat normal people.

It is farcical to call this shenanigan of a referendum an election.

This joke is as fixed as a Democratic election can be without pointing drawn guns at voters.

Ms. Me, Too is pro-all labor unions (that 94 percent of Americans spur), pro-teachers union, pro-hardline regulation, pro virtually every concept that informed Americans oppose.

If she fed all the votes her opponent will attract to her baby rat, the B.R. would return in 2½ minutes for a fresh feeding.

An amoeba would not feel nourished by what Ms. Me, Too’s pet rat will imbibe.

The wise guys who carp about the lack of independence of Sacramento’s 120 (almost entirely Democrat) beholden legislators will celebrate as if Mr. Putin had defeated Mr. Obama. Oh, that’s right, he did.

There is nearly enough collective courage among the 120 comedians to stand off a kindergarten kid with a cap gun.

These sarcastic boys and girls will sleep with anyone who will donate a buck to their campaigns.

Winning a state Senate seat in this manner is moving a single baby step up the Mafia ladder. What has Ms. Mitchell captured?  The privilege to kiss the feet of every sweaty lobbyist in Sacramento who appeals to her inch-wide, quarter-inch-deep principles.

Ms. Me, Too, you are on the brink of winning an empty cup. Stun us and use it wisely.
