Re “Measure J, I Pronounce You Even Deader Than Before

After reporting on Nov. 28 that Measure J, the transportation initiative, could not possibly rally enough votes to prevail, it has become official:

The margin of defeat, based on final election results released yesterday, was 55,161 votes. That is the number of “Yes” votes shy of the required two-thirds needed to pass Measure J.

The recount process was monitored for fraud by hollywoodhighlands.org

Passage of Measure J would have resulted in the L.A. Mayor’s wallet in his back pocket being fattened by $90 billion.

Measure J supporters actually conceded defeat Election Night with hundreds of thousands of mail-in ballots and provisionals yet to be counted….with the exception of L.A. Times reporter L.A. Ari Bloomekatz.

He clung to the statistically absurd hope of a miraculous come-from-behind Measure J victory in story after story over the post-Election Day counting period ending yesterday. The weeks-long counting of th remaining unprocessed ballots is finally done!

Mr. Bloomekatz may soon land a high-paid PR job at the Times just as his immediate predecessor as ransportation reporter, Steve Hymon, did awhile ago. The David and Goliath metaphor in print actually belongs to Mr. Bloomekatz!

Many thanks to “No on Measure J” coalition leader Damien Goodmon dragon.

Hizzoner’s Not Excellent Month Continues

President Obama gives a slap in the face to L.A. Mayor Villaraigosa.

Barack tweets today his personal dismissal of the planted media rumor that Democratic National Committee Chair Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz is on her way out and that termed-out L.A. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa is on his way in as DNC Chair.

Nothing could be farther from the truth.

This false rumor was planted by the Mayor himself. Ask the reporter at Politico who printed such nonsense.

Same Month. News Still Lousy

Cirque du Soleil’s “Iris” in L.A. is the biggest box office disaster in world theatrical history.

Uncle Sam loses loses his $30 million Obama stimulus package investment on about-to-shutter Canadian show staged in Hollywood.

Federal taxpayers are mad as hell and on the D.C. warpath.

Hollywoodhighlands.org calls for a Congressional investigation into this highly suspect L.A. back-room deal engineered by the Chairman of the Democrat party convention , the lame duck Mayor of Los Angeles.

What's missing in the immediate media fallout from the Cirque du Soleil Tinseltown show’s financially disastrous collapse is the fact that the $30 million shot to hell subsidizing a French-Canadian producer on a gigantic flop musical performed on the same stage as the annual Oscarcast was indeed Federal funding dollars tied to the wasteful Obama stimulus package!

This highly-suspect Obama/Cirque Du Soleil/Obama stimulus deal was voted on and approved unanimously in 2009 by the Los Angeles City Council and signed by Mayor Antonio, who is waiting for his Obama payback in the form of a cabinet appointment as USDOT Secretary, replacing Ray Lahood.

(Consult 2009 L.A. Times stories to check the Cirque du Soleil dederal investment facts.)

Such a colossal plot to waste tens of millions of federal taxpayer dollars that also emanate from the other 49 states of the union was hatched by the soon-to-leave office L.A. Mayor and his would-be successor , Councilman and mayoral candidate Eric Garcetti.

(Much more to come.)

Helps to be the Mayor’s Pal

To add insult to industry, Andrea Alarcon recently ruined a city-owned car. She did not have it serviced, abused it, and it blew the engine. Antonio gave her a shiny new city-owned car!

Now she owes Los Angeles a public apology for abusing her own flesh and blood at City Hall!

As Andrea-gate is unraveling, consequently Villaraigosa can kiss goodbye to that ambassadorship in Mexico or Colombia that Obama half-promised him.
