Dont get me wrong, this can be good
for Culver Citys neighborhoods.
We need to move, to keep on growing,
but not too fast the lack is showing
of input from constituents
citizens and businesses.
The staff report prepared with care
left many questions in the air.
Why were the projects grouped just so,
with some already set to go
included in the presentation
with the ones which cause such tension?
Staffs alphabet soup was scarcely edible
only seasoned pols could make it credible.
Projects B, D, E and G are still a go
while A, C, and F received a No.
Out of the pipeline they were jerked
until the staff has done more work.
Work which will include, in part,
progress report, time line, org chart.
As they make their great decisions,
we trust our leaders will recall
they represent their constituents
community members all.
If moderation in development
includes the citizenry where relevant
then, with our Councils oversight,
our citys growth will be all right.
