Sources tell Hews Media Group-Community Newspaper that Lavette Crespo has been released by law enforcement officials after being held in custody following the shooting death of her husband, Bell Gardens Mayor Daniel Crespo.
The 45-year-old Mr. Crespo was shot at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday inside of his family’s residence, in the 6300 block of Gage Avenue.
Mr. Crespo died after his wife Lavette shot him several time inside of the Vinas La Campana complex, law enforcement officials contend.
We have been told that Mr. Crespo and his wife were inside their master bedroom where an argument ensued. Their son, 19-year-old son Daniel Jr., jumped in between his parents.
