What probably is the bulkiest field of candidates in the history of the School Board will be whittled from seven to three – the number of open seats – likely around 10:30 this evening, 2½ hours after the polls close.

Claudia Vizcarra said that she will be knocking on doors after her workday ends, hoping to encourage voters who have forgotten this is Election Day or were not previously motivated.

Vernon Taylor is going to spend the evening with his family of three sons, with an accent on his wife. Yesterday was her birthday, and “we didn’t have a chance to celebrate,” Mr. Taylor said this morning.

If any time is left, he will tend to chores that have required attention for some time. “If I win, I won’t have time to do them afterward,” he said. “If I lose, it doesn’t matter. They must get done now.”

Here is where you can, or cannot, find the candidates tonight:

Karlo Silbiger – Having actively campaigned for two-thirds of his 30 years, he was first to announce his Victory Party weeks ago, 4378 Jasmine.

Robert Zirgulis – And we quote: “I will be at The Culver Hotel if I win. I don't want to think about where I will be if I lose.”

Kathy Paspalis – At the Jerry and Janet Chabola residence,10827 Franklin St.

Vernon Taylor – Unavailable to the public.

Claudia Vizcarra – Preferred not to disclose location.

Sue Robins – At the Sunkist Park home of Paul and Madeline Ehrlich, often the main Election Night locus in Culver City, 11472 Diller Ave.

Dr. Steve Levin – 4110 Berryman Ave.
