Promising the first true debate of the election season, the Culver Crest Neighborhood Assn. has invited all nine of the City Council candidates to a forum next week.

All nine have accepted, and they said they plan to attend.

The debate will be at the Crest Association’s next general meeting, on Thursday, March 13, at 6:30 p.m., at El Rincon School in the Cafetorium.

A presentation on Measure M, the city’s utility tax ballot measure, also will be made. Refreshments will be served.

Questions from interested community members may be posed in advance by sending them to the moderator, Mark Salkin, at realproperty@marksalkin.com

Questions may also be submitted at the time of the debate.

The debate will follow a traditional pro and con format, ensuring ample time for each candidate to voice his opinions. The community is invited and welcome to attend.
