On the day after the City Council election, the venerable Culver City Democratic Club will convene at 7 o’clock at its new home, The Peace Center, 3916 S. Sepulveda Blvd., east side of the street, between Venice Boulevard and Washington Place.

President Bill Wynn (President@CCDemClub.org.) will lead a discussion about…hmm…oh, yes, the Council election.

Earlier in the day, the Academy of Visual and Performing Arts at Culver City High School will host a Getting to Know You Open House for prospective students and their parents.

Here is the plan:

Part 1

•  2:20-3 p.m. – Students may pick up information and meet at the Robert Frost Auditorium.

•  3-3:30 – Open House (various locations on campus).
       

Art – Room 1 (Kristine Hatanaka).           
       

Film – Room 7 (Alexis Butler) – Please visit during the evening portion.
       

Theatre – Room 9 (Justin Lujan).   
      

 Music – Room 94 (Dr. Tony Spano/Percussion Ensemble,
 Dr. Tania Fleischer/String Ensemble).

 Dance – Frost Auditorium (Julie Carson).

 
Part 2
•  6-6:45 – AVPA Showcase and general information for all current and prospective parents and students.


•  6:45-7:30 pm – Individual department informational meetings.
