True to one of its main missions, the enterprising Culver City Lions Club raised $7,000 last weekend at the “Carmageddon Carnival” at Westfield Culver City that will go toward providing free eye examinations for students in Culver City schools. The successful staging happened largely through the efforts of these three people. Past presidents of the Lions Club, Lu Rivas, left, and Lynn Miller, right, are flanking Chuck Martinez, general manager of Westfield Culver City, who hosted the fun event while 10 miles of the 405 Freeway were shut down.
