Radio Disney Returns to Fiesta This Year

The Fiesta La Ballona Committee announced today that Radio Disney (1110 AM) is returning to Fiesta on the last weekend of August. One of the most popular events at last year’s Fiesta, Radio Disney will be on hand for two of the three days.

Fiesta La Ballona, Culver City’s premiere Street Fair in the Park, will be held Friday evening, Aug. 26, through Sunday, Aug. 28, in Vets’ Park.

Bringing the hits for which the station is known, Radio Disney will be at Fiesta on Saturday on the Main Stage from 12 noon until 2 with live entertainment, games and prizes. Between noon and 3, the Radio Disney and the Chevy booths will bnear the Main Stage with activities and giveaways.

Radio Disney will return on Sunday, from noon until 2. In conjunction with the Dept. of Boating and Waterways, Radio Disney will provide information, fun and games about Boating and Water Safety.

Radio Disney is as the No. 1, 24-hour radio network devoted to kids, tweens and families. Kids help pick the music that is played, and they are encouraged to interact via a toll-free phone line to the Radio Disney studio.

The network is available on 35 terrestrial radio stations and is also available via RadioDisney.com, Sirius and XM satellite radio on channel 79, iTunes Radio Tuner, mobile phones and on the Radio Disney iPhone and Android Apps.

The Pre-Sale of Wrist Bands for the Carnival Rides at Fiesta La Ballona is now available.

The pre-Fiesta price is $20, and $25 later. The sale runs until 12 noon on Friday, the 26th, the first day of Fiesta.

Wrist Band vouchers can be purchased during regular business hours at the Recreation Office, in the rear of the Vets Auditorium, 4117 Overland Ave. Office hours are 8 until 6:30 on Mondays, 11:30 until 6:30, Tuesdays through Fridays, and 10 to 4 on Saturdays.

The wrist bands will be honored only on Saturday and Sunday of Fiesta. Each wrist band is good for only one day from noon until 6 o’clock.

Each person must have his or her own wrist band. Wrist bands cannot be shared by two people.
