State Sen. Mark Ridley-Thomas (D-Culver City) today announced he has won the unanimous endorsement of the Los Angeles Assn. of Deputy District Attorneys, a criminal justice organization comprised of 1,000 prosecutors serving the people of Los Angeles County.
Steve Ipsen, president of the group, said, “Our association’s vote to endorse Sen. Ridley-Thomas for Supervisor over his principal opponent Bernard Parks was not even close. Our members were highly impressed with Sen. Ridley-Thomas’ passion for seeking justice.
“Mark was a prime mover in the push to seek justice for homeowners victimized by predatory lenders, and he has been a stalwart advocate on social and environmental justice issues throughout his career in public service.”
Senator Ridley-Thomas said, “It is particularly gratifying to stand united with the hard-working women and men who are the people’s lawyers in L.A. County District Attorney’s Office, and who fight courageously each day in our courts to convict criminals who prey on residents in our communities and to win justice for crime victims and their families.”
