Kevin Kronfeld, who spent years in schools east of Los Angeles, starts his duties next Monday as the new principal of the Culver City Adult School.
Mr. Kronfeld previously served the Claremont Unified School District in a variety of capacities, including District K-12 Summer Coordinator, dean of the Adult School, dean of the San Antonio Continuation High School, Independent Study, Community Day School, and coordinator of the Regional Occupational Programs.
His professional accomplishments include reorganizing that district’s continuation high school, adult school and community day school to better serve their students.
Mr. Kronfeld also wrote and received multiple grants for the district, organized and facilitated the Star, Cahsee and Psat testing for four school sites and developed and coordinated the Avid program at Claremont High School.
Mr. Kronfeld has expertise in managing budgets for the K-12 summer school programs, alternative education budgets including the adult school budget. He is also a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has counseled hundreds of students in two elementary schools and one high school, and worked with various adults with family and personal issues.
The Adult School principal earned his bachelor’s degree from Cal State Dominguez Hills. He went on to get his Master of Arts degree from Phillips Graduate Institute in Marital and Family Therapy with an option in school counseling and a Master of Science in Education Administration from National University.
