Dateline Compton – the Compton branch of the NAACP will hold a press conference this evening near the Hub Motel, 714 S. Long Beach Blvd., where, it has been alleged, prostitution involving underage girls has taken place.

“We are tired of seeing our children used as sex objects for the pleasure of adult men,” says Paulette Simpson-Gipson, president of the Compton NAACP.

Ms. Simpson-Gipson wants action taken by elected and law enforcement officials, including the closing of the Hub Motel as well as making it a felony to engage underage females for immoral acts.

“The community is outraged that this is continuing to happen and nothing is being done to curtail it,” says Ms. Simpson-Gipson. “This is a call to action by the community.”
