Meet 11 New Volunteers Elected to Six City Commissions

If some hearts were broken and other persons had their dreams surprisingly fulfilled, nary a sound was heard at Monday night’s City Council meeting when appointments were made to 11 open seats on city commissions.

Often competitive, Selection Night routinely leaves shattered wishes lying in its wake.

Not this year — at least that could be observed.

The appointments:

John Kuechle, reappointed to a four-year term on the Planning Commission, ending June 30, 2013.

Scott Wyant, appointed to the Planning Commission for a four-year term, ending June 30, 2013.

Laura Stuart, appointed to the Parks and Recreation Commission for a four-tear term, ending June 30, 2013.

Mary Ann Greene, appointed to the Parks and Recreation Commission for a four-year term, ending June 30, 2013.

Sandy Stivers, reappointed to the Civil  Service Commission for a four-year term, ending June 30, 2013.

Gayle Smashey, reappointed to a four-year term on the Cultural Affairs Commission, ending June 30, 2013.

Marlyn Musicant, appointed to  a four-year term on the Cultural  Affairs Commission, ending June 30, 2013.

Monique Watts, appointed to a four=year term on the Disability Advisory Committee, ending June 30, 2013.

Neil Rubenstein, reappointed to a four-year term on the Disability Advisory Committee, ending June 30, 2013.

Delores  Seehusen, appointed to a three-year term as Landlord Representative on the Landlord-Tenant Mediation Board, ending June 30, 2012.

Robert Pine, reappointed to a three-year term as Member at-Large Representative on  the Landlord-Tenant Mediation Board, ending June 30, 2012.
