Re “Measure CC – What’s to Worry About?”

Let there be no doubt about where new School Board member Dr. Steve Levin stands or sits or speaks.

“I was ready to say yes in July,” he said of the revived bond campaign that has blossomed into $106 million Measure CC on the June 3 ballot.

In looking ahead to an expected Measure CC victory in 27 days with a threshold 55 percent vote, Dr. Levin said that “there are people who were not ready to say yes in July but they are ready now.”

Does he foresee Measure CC racing past the finish line by a comfortable margin?

“I hesitate to make predictions,” he said. “All of us who are supporting Measure CC need to be out there, talking to people.”

Venturing out a couple of extra steps, Dr. Levin said that he “would like to see an overwhelming victory for the bond. I would like to see evidence that our community is unified behind things that are important.”
