As the date nears for the formal Culver City opening of the homeless shelter Upward Bound House, the Fraiche restaurant of Culver City partnered with Upward Bound last Saturday to help children, from ages 8 to 12, learn what it is like to work in the food and restaurant industry. Upward Bound is a community-based social service agency assisting homeless families with minor children. In Culver City, Upward will be at the corner of Washington Boulevard and Beethoven.
