Hamill New Leader of Chamber

[img]1652|left|Michael Hamill||no_popup[/img]Small businessperson Michael Hamill was elected by the Board of Directors to lead the Culver City Chamber of Commerce during the coming year.

Mr. Hamill is the Managing Director at Grandview National Inc., a boutique investment bank that provides business buy/sell advisory services as well as business turnaround and restructuring services.

Mr. Hamill and other new officers will be installed on Friday, Jan. 11, at a 12 noon buffet at Courtyard by Marriott, 6333 Bristol Pkwy.

Joining Mr. Hamill on the Executive Committee are Chair-elect Bill Reider, Vice Chairs Kyle Jones, Geoff Maleman, Elena Sweda Neff, Sue Robins, Scott Wyant, and Immediate Past Chair Goran Eriksson.

As a resident of Culver City, Mr. Hamill said he will bring his involvement of the entire community to his leadership of the Culver City Chamber.

The Chamber of Commerce is emphasizing its involvement in the broad community, not a single area. The Chamber Board is a diverse, 29 business people who not only represent a variety of commerce, ages and local responsibilities.

Chamber Board by the numbers:

• 15 residents/homeowners.

• 18 represent small business.

• 11 women.

• 10 Baby Boomers.

• 15 too young to be Baby Boomers.

Other active members are involved in AYSO, Little League, local service clubs, Boy Scouts and professional organizations throughout the state and nation.
