Nancy Goldberg, candidate for the School Board in the Nov. 8 election, has declared her support of the Culver City Education Foundation’s All for 1 fundraising campaign.

Recently launched by the Foundation, the goal of the campaign is to raise $1 million to help maintain excellence in Culver City schools. If each family contributes $1 day for month, totaling $30 that would make the million dollars a year goal that much easier to reach, Foundation officials say.

Ms. Goldberg recently retired after four decades of teaching at Culver City High School. She has said numerous times she is acutely aware of funding shortages and the necessary cuts that have had to be made through the years.

“I am a founding member of the Education Foundation,” she said. “I support all of their efforts to raise money for the School District. This particular campaign is extremely important because of the devastating state of the economy today. I encourage everyone to contribute to the All for 1 fundraiser so we will be able to continue the programs we have in our schools.”

The Education Foundation was started in 1981 and has donated millions of dollars to the School District in the past 30 years. To contact the Foundation, call 310.842.4220, ext. 4212.
