What a well-fed campaign crowd looks like.
Veterans Park was dripping with School Board campaign talk and blueberry syrup this past Saturday.
More than 200 children, parents and seniors came out in the early morning hours to meet the candidate Dr. Steve Levin and dine on free pancakes.
They were expertly cooked by former School Board President Madeline Ehrlich, sporting a “Steve Levin for School Board” tee-shirt and a vanilla-flavored chef’s hat.
The campaign “Eat and Greet” gave many at the gathering their first chance to meet Dr. Levin.
Sandi Levin, the candidate’s sister and event organizer, pronounced the morning at Vets “a huge, flipping success!”
Whether they came to partake of the free flapjacks or to ask Dr. Levin questions about the School District and his platform, all who attended seemed to come away satisfied.
