In these tough times of deep cuts to state funding, especially funding for the arts, the Academy of Visual and Performing Arts at Culver City High School, dance students put their training, spirit, and passion to dance to work on Sunday at Dance-A-Thon 2010.

Their motivation: To raise vital funding for their dance program.
AVPA dance students offered family, friends, teachers and community members an opportunity to contribute towards their dance education by soliciting pledges in support of their dancing for three hours without stopping.
Almost 30 students turned out to dance the afternoon away in front of the Robert Frost Auditorium on the Culver High campus.
