With his campaign in full swing, on any given day you’ll find City Council candidate Jeff Cooper walking the residential neighborhoods to meet Culver City ’s voters.
“I have always appreciated the fact that Council candidates need to earn every vote,” said Mr. Cooper. “It’s one of the things I love about this town.”
Since entering the race in January, the Parks and Recreation Commissioner has dedicated every weekend and almost every afternoon to personally reaching out to individual voters.

Frequently, Mr. Cooper is joined by supporters such as Mayor Alan Corlin , City Councilman Scott Malsin, Planning Commissioner Marcus Tiggs, and newly elected School Board member Scott Zeidman.
“As I have walked with Jeff, I have seen the way he connects with people,” explained Mr. Zeidman, “Jeff doesn't preach. He doesn’t make empty promises. He’s the one candidate who really seems intent on listening to what the voters have to say.”
“My strategy may seem old fashioned,” said Mr. Cooper, “but there’s no better way to learn about the concerns of the community. I may not be able to talk to every voter this way, but I’m sure going to try.”
Councilman Malsin, who, with Mr. Zeidman, is a co-chair of the Cooper campaign, added:
“Jeff always has impressed me with his ability to get the job done. I can see that’s something that comes through loud and clear when people meet him.”
