Due to hundreds of requests for accommodations, the family of Albert Vera announced the funeral for Culver City’s No. 1 citizen has been shifted to St. Augustine Catholic Church at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Originally, it was planned for the more intimate chapel at Holy Cross. The St. Augustine service will be followed by an interment Mass at Holy Cross Cemetery at 11:30. In response to numerous inquiries, the family said there are no plans for a viewing. Mr. Vera was 75 years old when he died on Monday morning at his home in Sunkist Park.
