Re “Gang Member Charged with Killing Bilodeau, January of ’09, at Fire Station Site

Unhappy Anniversary, sir.

With his lawyer unavailable, the preliminary hearing in Superior Court this morning for accused killer Myron DeShun Grant was continued for six weeks, to a signal date.

Mr. Grant, suspected of murdering City Hall consultant Paul Bilodeau almost 2 ½ years ago, is due back before Judge Mark E. Windham in the Airport Courthouse on Tuesday, June 21.

One year ago on June 21, the accusation against Mr. Grant was made public for the first time, although he had been formally charged five days before.

After being patiently tracked down for a year and a half by Culver City police, Mr. Grant was charged with creeping onto the construction grounds of a new Fire Station 3, Fox Hills, the night after New Year’s 2009 and slaying the 45-year-old Mr. Bilodeau.

The cops were led to him when Mr. Bilodeau’s stolen cellphone was pawned.
