Hoult-O’Leary Research Offers Traffic Solutions for Seniors

During the public comment period at last Monday night’s City Council meeting, the community activist Mehaul O’Leary spoke of the hazardous conditions for senior citizens at the pedestrian crossings at the large intersection of Culver Boulevard and Overland Avenue.

Many seniors cross those streets because the Senior Center is on the northwest corner of the intersection.

Mr. O’Leary said the extremely busy crossings are particularly dangerous for seniors with impaired mobility.

Founding publisher Ari L. Noonan pursued a long and productive career in Southern California journalism before landing on Culver City’s front steps in 2001.
