Cooper May Not Rhyme With Champion – but It Should
Cooper Komatsu of El Marino Language School stood tall on Wednesday night and confidently spelled the word l-e-x-i-c-o-l-i-g-y to take home the eighth annual School District spelling bee. To audience cheers at the cafetorium at Lin Howe Elementary, the thrilled fifth-grader finished atop 23 other spellers – four students from each of the District’s five elementary schools and Culver City Middle School.

Middle School’s Show Choir Bows in This Weekend
Encore, the new Culver City Middle School Show Choir, will give its first performances at 7 o’clock on Saturday evening and at 2 on Sunday afternoon at the Willows Community School Theater, 8520 Warner Dr., Culver City. Tickets, $10, will be available at the door.
