When Lying Becomes Reporting, Commentary Turns into Propaganda

I remember the day he ceased being “Uncle Walter” and became

Walter Cronkite took it upon himself to become a propagandist for the Left in 1968 during the Tet Offensive in Vietnam.

It made no difference that he was wrong in his analysis of what was taking place in Southeast Asia. After all, he was Uncle Walter of CBS, the most trusted man in America.

Trust Betrayed

That trust was misplaced. Our Uncle turned out to be just another political hack masquerading as a journalist. He betrayed the troops in the field and Americans at home.

When the Clintons were running for co-President, the most trusted name in investigative journalism, “60 Minutes” rode to the rescue in their darkest hour.

Talking Back to the Progressives Who Are Chortling

Once again the “progressive peoples” of the world raise their voices.

I recall my stay with those who describe themselves and their supporters as the “progressive peoples” of the world.

Dr.Frederickson, an American college professor, once again heralds their contribution to the pursuit of “peace.” He also heralds Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, as being fully within her role when she goes to Syria and pursues “peace” on her own.

Theatre of You-Know-What

The assertions are absurd.

No amount of writing, with dictionary perched on knee seeking the latest seldom used word, will ever change that.

I spent nearly a year in a camp run by “progressive” Vietnamese in a country they denied being in, Cambodia.

Closer Look at Cruelty Elsewhere in the World

What most Americans do not understand is that there is another world out there where terrible things happen every day and people die.

In most cases, this passes without comment.

Some have become so used to the taste of blood, they can only be met with a terrible retribution.

Diplomacy? Forget It?

They cannot be negotiated or talked out of it. Thus, a shot in the night, a dagger in the ribs, and heroes for an oppressed people are created.

These come out of the night with a glimmer of hope and a helping hand to a terrified people.

A Veteran Tries to Make Sense of War Protests

[Editor’s Note: These penetrating thoughts, by a career military man, were penned last Saturday afternoon in the midst of the nationwide anti-war protests.]

Today in Washington D.C., “peace” marchers, with their own goon squad screaming “Nazis," attacked counter-protestors with bottles and other instruments of violence.

A pregnant woman was attacked by “peace” marshals wearing yellow vests. They tore up the “Support the Troops” signs.

In a flashback to the Vietnam War, the “peace” protestors once again have shown themselves to be anything but peaceful.

A Tribute to a New Hero

[Editor’s Note: After Pfc. Andrew Smith, son of one present and one former Culver City police officer, was shot and wounded last week in Iraq, his uncle a lifetime military man, penned this loving tribute.]

Like most of the young, you had to wonder if he would ever make it to adulthood.

Never Again!

I write this letter not with a heavy heart, but with outright indignation. The statements in it are directed to all segments of the American body politic, media and just uncaring, wavering citizens.

You are held up to ridicule by much of the world, and it has nothing to do with our government and military not bowing to the United Nations or some world court.
