Year 52 Starts Saturday for Little Leaguers
The Culver City National Little League opens its 52nd season this week.
Opening Day ceremonies commence at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Bill Botts Field, at the top of Culver City Park.
This will signal the official start of the season. More than 1,000 people are expected to attend.
This year, over 400 boys and girls, ages 5 to 14, will participate in our baseball and softball program, says Little League Board President George Aceves.
The efforts of many individuals volunteering their time for the sole purpose of providing our children with the character-building traits found in our national pastime will make this year the greatest in our 52-year history.
