[Editor’s Note: The following message was directed to the members of the Teachers Union last evening.] Friends – The Culver City Federation of Teachers and the Assn. of Classified Employees met on Wednesday night to interview the seven candidates who will be competing for three seats on our School Board in the Nov. 5 election.

Friends: Your CCFT bargaining team met again with the School District’s Management team on Monday. We are close to a settlement.

Friends – I met on Wednesday with Asst. Supts. Leslie Lockhart and Mike Reynolds, Classified Employees President Debbie Hamme, and the President of the Management Assn., Audrey Stephens. Leslie and Mike called us all together to communicate to us that CCUSD has agreed, in principle, to fund salary increases over the next five years large enough to move us to the median in Los Angeles County.
