Legendary Culver City Couple Is Broken Up by Death
One of the legendary politically active couples in the history of Culver City has been broken up by death.
Following a long battle with thyroid cancer, Charles Robert McCain died peacefully last Friday afternoon with his family at his side.
Mr. McCain and Jacqueline, his wife of 63 years, formed one of the popular activist teams in the community, and they were a staple at weekly City Council and neighborhood group meetings. Routinely, Mr. McCain, who turned 85 years old last year, deferred to his wife in matters political.
