Lady Centaurs Win Their First Playoff Game
The Culver City High School girls’ volleyball team started their quest for a CIF 3AA Division championship on Tuesday night. They swept Brethren Christian of Huntington Beach, 3-0, inside the Del Goodyear Gym on campus. The Centaurs are 25-6 and are hoping to make a statement in the playoffs. Next game is tonight. As this was posted, the game site had not been determined.

Culver City High School’s football team tasted victory for the first time last Friday night in the South Bay when they ran past Hawthorne 36-10. The Centaurs are 1-8 overall and 1-3 in the Ocean League and dancing on the football field. On Friday night at 7, they play their last game when they travel to Beverly Hills.

Defending Ocean League champions, the Culver City High School girls volleyball team will take their winning show on the road this afternoon at Beverly Hills.
The Lady Centaurs are 16-3 overall and 3-0 in the Ocean League. Beverly Hills is 4-5 overall and 1-1 in the Ocean league.

The Culver City High School football team is hoping to put together a complete game when they travel to Lawndale on Friday for a 7 o’clock game. The Centaurs are 0-5 and Lawndale is 2-3. This will be the first Ocean League game for both teams. Culver City is the defending league champions, so now is the time for the Centaurs to step up.

The Culver City High School football team, looking for its first victory, hosts Paramount at Jerry Chabola Stadium on Friday evening at 7. The Centaurs are 0-3 and Paramount has split its first four games. Culver City lost to San Pedro 38-17 last Friday after falling behind 17-0 in the first half.
