Dateline Dayton – If you are like me, you will find articles in the newspaper that attract your attention. You read the story, expect a follow-up informing you of the outcome. So frustrating when this doesn’t happen. Today I will give an update on matters I have written about in the past.

Dateline Dayton – Conclusion of my trip to Las Vegas with my brother-in-law Willie: After my first two sessions at the Silver Strike Tournament on Saturday, I was in good shape, point-wise. On the other hand, Willie had poor scores at both his sessions.

Dateline Dayton – A week ago Wednesday, my brother-in-law Willie and I were on our way to Las Vegas. We had an early flight out of Dayton, with a connection in Minneapolis. Dateline Dayton – We learned late last week that my Aunt Dorothy died, and visitation would be on Friday evening with the funeral on Saturday. Aunt Dorothy was the last of my mother’s sisters and brothers. My only surviving relative from that generation is Aunt Alma, my aunt by marriage.

Dateline Dayton – I am not sure where the week went. Between work, looking at assisted living facilities and attending a couple of our granddaughter’s basketball games, the days have gone quickly.

Dateline Dayton – Am I glad the election is over. If you believed any of the ads on television, neither of the Presidential candidates should have been elected. It’s only 10 days until Mr. Obama’s private inauguration, and 11 days until the public ceremony.

Dateline Dayton – Hope everyone had a great Christmas.
