How to Turn Irving Place Plan into a Welcome Addition
I am very concerned about the project that is being planned for Irving Place.
As a parent of a child at Linwood E. Howe Elementary School, I believe this building would negatively impact the children, families and residents in the area.

Why My Neighborhood Is Wrong for Upward Bound’s Homeless Plan
I am a West Culver City business and property owner for 30 years.
Regarding the Upward Bound homeless shelter proposal for the Sun Bay Motel on Beethoven Street and Washington Boulevard in West Culver City, there are some pertinent elements; I feel need to be considered:
In spite of their best intentions, how can Upward Bound assure us they will be able to place the prospective tenants in permanent housing in a span of 90 days?

If You Think Seabrooks Is Invisible, What About Chief Cooke?
I have read with interest the recent articles concerning Inglewood Police Chief Jackie Seabrooks and her magical disappearing act during the recent spate of Officer Involved Shootings.
This invites a comparison with the past in Culver City when there have been Officer Involved Shootings, especially when officers themselves have been shot.

After Inspecting Revenues, It’s Time for the City to Give a...
In Monday’s edition of the Los Angeles Times, a front page article explains how many California legislators favor using money from local government and transportation accounts.
Several months ago, I wrote a letter to thefrontpageonline.com about the Culver City Police Dept. Red Light program and what a loser program it was for the city.

Since When Is the City Hyping Downtown Eateries?
While perusing the culvercity.org website to find out about a street closure, I was surprised to see a restaurant highlighted on the city’s homepage.
When did the city get into the advertising business?
I am seriously wondering if my fellow residents and I are being sold a bill of goods that we did not ask for.

RE A public hearing before the Planning Commission, Wednesday, Sept. 10, at 7 o’clock, regarding two proposed 3-story office complexes at 9919 Jefferson Blvd., featuring a “small” space in the front building devoted to restaurant/retail, and two-level subterranean parking.
A Fat Chance That You Were as Funny as You Thought...
Have you lost your mind?
You were way off base in linking these powerful legislative positions of Speaker of the Assembly Karen Bass and U.S. Rep. Laura Richardson to their weight.
