Is the City Pulling a Bait-and-Switch on 4043 Irving?

[Editor’s Note: Mr. Marcus, a former Mayor of Culver City, addressed the following letter to the developer Sal Gonzales regarding the Nov. 17 public hearing before the City Council on his proposed mixed-use building at 4043 Irving Pl. The matter was continued until 7 o’clock tonight in Council Chambers at City Hall.]

Parks-and-Rec Commission Listened to the People

I am very pleased that the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Commission listened on Tuesday night to people who live around and enjoy our neighborhood parks, and decided to recommend to City Council to keep the "no dogs in city parks" ordinance as it is.

The “Dogs in Culver City Parks” issue is back.

You may remember that you signed a “No Dogs in Culver City Parks” petition in 2005. At that time, we submitted to the City Council and Commissioners a petition of over 300 signatures of Culver City residents who felt strongly that dogs didn’t belong in the parks.
