Our Lady Centaurs, not ready to rest on this season’s accomplishments, hope their efforts will be rewarded with...

Culver City High School’s road to a CIF volleyball championship ended last night in the semi-finals at Windward School. As the Lady Centaurs came out of the locker room, they received a rousing ovation from their supporters. For the Last Time
One thing you can count on when you read a Gary Abrams. He never will let the facts get in the way of his writing. If they do, he will re-envision it his own way! You don’t have to read very long before arriving at his first exaggeration. At the end of his first paragraph, he says 70 percent of our Title One students are receiving subsidized lunches. If only that were true.
A Political Debt to be Paid?
Startled on Election Night when the entire three-person slate by United Parents of Culver City won seats on the School Board, I was curious about the answer to two questions, I posed during the campaign. The King Is Dead. Long Live Rocket Man
Yesterday’s election was the first time in our community we have had two distinct slates of candidates, one by United Parents of Culver City and one led by School Board member Karlo Silbiger.
Sizing up 7 School Board Candidates for Nov. 5 Election
If Mr. Silbiger doesn’t finish at the top of the polls, it would be like a political tsunami going through Culver City. The youngest, most politically savvy educator ever to sit on our School Board, he is finishing up his doctorate in education at UCLA. He understands education policy, front and back. For that alone, he deserves to be re-elected.
