When the 8-week Summer Concert Series reaches the midway mark this evening, a spot of Culver City history will be achieved.
According to impresario Gary Mandell, the arrival of the Irish folk group Molly’s Revenge will be the first time a bagpipist has performed in this town.
In view of the sponsoring Redevelopment Agency’s 7-month fight with Gov, Brown to stay alive, one anonymous City Hall wit wandered out loud:
“I wonder if the Agency will have enough money left to pay the piper.”
At 7 o’clock in the typically crowded Courtyard of City Hall, the four-person Molly’s Revenge, from Central California, will take the stage and be joined by singer Christa Burch.
Seating is available for picnickers at 4:30, and there is free underground parking for early arrivals.
