Here are the award winners from last week’s 4th Backlot Film Festival, at the Vets Auditorium, where actress Terry Moore made the presentations on Saturday night:
Best Feature Film — Fiction. “Jump,” starring the late Patrick Swayze in his last feature film, Ben Silverstone, Martine McClutcheon, Richard Johnson and Stefanie Powers. “Jump” was written and directed by Joshua Sinclair, who also is a producer, director and actor. Sinclair wrote and produced the television mini-series “Shaka Zulu — The Last Great Warrior,” “Judgment in Berlin,” with Martin Sheen, and “Just A Gigolo,” Marlene Dietrich's final film.
Best Feature Film — Documentary. A tie.
“Let It Be,” from Taiwan, depicting – the life of three elderly rice farmers in Houbi Township in Taiwan. Co-directed by Yen-Lan-Chen and Juang-Yi –Tseng.

“Toot Blues,” a documentary by Chris Johnstone and Anna Ferrarie. A penniless musicology student, Tim Duffy, began the Music Maker Relief Foundation 15 years ago to record and promote traditional southern blues music.
Best Short Film —Fiction. “Inventing Kin,” directed by Fro Rojas, presents a young woman reconnecting with her father after a 12-year separation.
Best Short Film — Documentary. “Invisible Women,” a film by Susan Davis that explores the fading image of older women in the media.
Best Student Film — “A Vision of Wholeness” won the Arthur Freed Award. Written, produced and directed by Ben Duffy. Documentary about a rabbi who works with Autistic children.
Currently the Backlot Film Festival is in negotiations to screen the winners at a local theatre.
